Working with Individuals in a Relational Context: An EFIT Perspective

June 27 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

A central premise of Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) is that a key to profound personal change lies in corrective emotional experiences, both within the therapeutic relationship and through clients’ internal shifts.

In this one-hour talk, Dr. Ting Liu will share her experience as a therapist on how to provide a secure base where clients can explore deep, vulnerable emotions like shame, fear, sadness, and ambivalence. Through the secure therapeutic alliance, clients are empowered to challenge old patterns, process difficult experiences, and ultimately reformulate more positive and integrated views of self and others, fostering lasting change.
